COVID-19

New Safety Measures

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have put new measures in place to keep our patients and practitioner as safe as possible. We have carried out a thorough risk assessment. To be able to be seen face to face, strict Health & Safety measures are in place at the clinic to mitigate risks for the patients and the practitioner. These measures are necessary as the risk of virus transmission during face to face appointments are heightened as the practitioner and patient are highly likely to be in close contact. Please read and abide by the following measures. If you have any questions regarding the new measures, please feel free to contact us. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

COVID-19 SYMPTOMS

Please DO NOT visit the clinic if you suspect you have COVID-19 symptoms or you have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19. If you experience any COVID-19 symptoms within a few days of visiting the clinic, it is vital that you alert the clinic immediately so that the necessary safety measures can be taken.

PRE SCREENING CALL

As recommended by the Institute of Osteopathy, you will receive a pre screening call from the clinic one day before your appointment. This consists of a few questions to ensure you are well enough to have a treatment. Please look out for a call from us if you have an appointment the following day, as you may not be able to attend your appointment if the pre screening call has not taken place.

TELEHEALTH CONSULTATIONS

If you have received a pre screening call from the clinic, and it has been considered unsuitable for you to attend your appointment in person, you are more than welcome to have a telehealth consultation with us. This will take place via skype so that we can discuss your musculo-skeletal symptoms, and still be able to offer advice and exercises to help manage and alleviate pain.

DISTANCING MEASURES

Please arrive alone to your appointment and try to avoid travelling to the clinic via public transport. If the appointment is for a vulnerable patient, ensure only one other person attends with them. Please also be mindful not to bring unnecessary items into the clinic if possible– such as bags, coats, jewellery, watches etc... To reduce unnecessary contact with other members of the public or the clinic surfaces, we kindly ask each patient to arrive at the time of their appointment, and not more than 5 minutes early.

HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES

There will be a 15 minutes gap between each patient to prevent any overlap and to allow proper aeration and ventilation of the treatment room. All linens have been removed from the clinic to allow for easy wipe surfaces. All contact surfaces in the clinic will be completely sanitised and disinfected between each patient. This includes door handles, treatment couch, pillows, desktops, chairs etc... Please allow the practitioner to open and close doors.

INCREASED PROTECTION

To further minimise risk, you will be asked to wear a mask from the moment you enter the clinic and for the duration of your appointment. Masks will be provided for a charge of £1 if you do not have one with you. Upon entering and exiting the clinic, please use the provided hand sanitiser gel. Your practitioner will be wearing Personal Protective Equipment in the form of disposable face masks, aprons and gloves. The preferred method of payment will be via bank transfer. Details will be provided at the time of your appointment. Cash will be accepted if payment via BACS is not feasible.

If, after reading all of the measures in place for infection prevention and control, you, at this time, do not want to consent to face-to-face treatment, please contact the clinic and we can schedule a telehealth appointment via skype to discuss your symptoms and how best to manage them. Thank you once again for your co-operation.
